I wanted to write a quick post today to highlight some of my favorite eco friendly and/or fair trade accessories. These are all lovely things we can stash in our bags (or, give as little gifts this holiday season). Fun!
1. Handmade Artisan Chocolate Vanilla Perfume
I have wanted one of Illuminated Perfume’s solid perfumes for a long time. I can only imagine how divine this handmade, solid perfume must smell. Yum!
This artist uses edible ingredients to make her scrumptious perfumes, so you don’t have to worry about having an adverse reaction to any harsh chemicals or scents. And, each perfume comes in a lovely little jar that easily stashes in your bag.
2. Hand Knit Cup Cozy
I know the allure of a warm, cozy coffee shop when the wind and snow is howling outside. And although I usually try to keep my reusable mug on hand, sometimes I forget. So, I always keep a cup cozy in my purse so I don’t have to use the cardboard sleeves!
I lovelovelove this handknit cup cozy from KnitStorm. It’s vibrant and unique, and will save a bit of cardboard every time you need to get your latte to go.
3. Handmade, Natural Necklace
I have two pieces by SeaFindDesigns (one of my favorite Etsy shops!) and I’m sorely tempted by this awesome necklace that Tracy has made!
Tracy scoures her local Rhode Island beach to find stones and sea glass, which she then turns into really unique pieces of jewelry. Take a look!
4. Upcycled Journal
If you’re heading to the coffeeshop, then you’re going to want a lovely journal to scribble your thoughts and musings in. At least, I sure would want one! Although I favor Moleskin for the simple pleasure of their lovely paper, I do get bored with the plain black exterior. Yes, ok, it’s very Picasso-esque, but I’m in love with this upcycled journal from Moon Moth Press. It’s an old-book-turned-journal, and that cover couldn’t be any prettier!
Couldn’t you just picture yourself tucking this little beauty into your favorite eco-friendly bag? I sure could!
Well, I could certainly keep going but I’ll stop myself here. Perhaps it should be a weekly feature…favorite eco fashion finds from around the web. What do you think?
