One look at this purse and you’d think it was destined for the garbage or compost heap, right? And, you might be wondering why I’m putting up a picture of a bag of ours which is obviously tattered and worn out.
Well, there’s a good reason. This picture is a great example of the quality work we put into our bags. And this is the kind of story that makes me smile every time I hear it.
One of our customers sent in a photo of her Earth Divas hemp handbag, which she has used constantly for the past two years. Here’s what she had to say:
I bought this purse 2 years ago.
I wanted you to know that I have finally decided to retire it. I threw it away twice and dug it out of the trash both times and now it is in a box with beloved baby stuff. I have loved this ol’ girl so much. It is frayed, busted up, banged up and still beautiful to me.
I was beginning to think I would never be able to part with it but I was also beginning to think I might need therapy. It has been such a wonderful bag and I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed it and also how much I enjoy your shop. You always take time to tell me about your latest “stuff” and you really seem to love what you do. I certainly loved this purse!!
Every time I read her letter I can’t help but crack a smile. Two years of hard use and the bag is still holding up well. It makes me so happy!
