Eco-Friendly Fall Wardrobe Essentials

Chances are, you’re starting to stow away your shorts, sandals, and tanks, and drag out your sweaters, jackets, tights, and boots.

Fall starts officially in just a few days, and in many parts of the country (Michigan included!) it’s really starting to feel like it! The leaves are starting to change, the mornings are chilly, and bright orange pumpkins are starting to show up on front porches all over the neighborhood.

I like getting a few new things for my Fall wardrobe. However, I don’t usually buy them “new.” Buying vintage, fair trade, or eco-friendly items to add some “new” to your wardrobe is a much smarter choice for the environment.

I wanted to highlight a few of my favorites that are on eBay’s Green site. If you haven’t been over here, eBay Green showcases vintage, fair trade, or eco-friendly products only. It’s a must-see!

1. Vintage Leather Bomber Jacket

A vintage or vegan leather bomber jacket is a must-have for cool Fall afternoons. This vintage Versace jacket is super cool, and would look amazing with a pair of skinny jeans, boots, and a bright circle scarf!

2. Vintage Ray Ban Sunglasses

I love these vintage Ray Ban’s so much! Nothing says ’90s style (think Elaine in Seinfeld here) more than these Clubmaster Wayfarers.

3. Southwest Passport Bag

The Southwest trend is still going strong, and our Southwest-style Passport bag is a perfect accessory for fall. It’s tiny, it’s trendy, and best of all, it’s fair-trade made.

These are just three vintage and fair trade picks that can help revamp your Fall look. But there are so many other options! The 1950s circle skirt is in style, as is anything Gypsy or Boho. Circle scarves, turquoise jewelry, and high boots are also splashing across Pintrest daily. Buying all these things vintage, or looking for fair trade and eco-friendly options, will really lesson your impact on the environment, consume fewer resources, and even help someone else around the world live a little bit easier.
